About Mersyl

Make the update
understandable to its readers.

Mersyl helps businesses and communications teams turn confirmed company developments into clear news and announcements.

A milestone, business update or organizational change can mean different things to customers, employees or other readers. We identify the main news, explain the relevant background and keep the wording appropriate to the audience.

Assignments begin with your approved facts and supporting material. We agree on the text, length, channel and revision rounds, then prepare a reviewable draft. Your team confirms names, dates, quotes and details before the final handover.

Services

One company development.
The right text to explain it.

Writing and editorial support for a defined announcement, using information your team can approve.

01

Company news drafting

We develop a company news item from your brief and source material. The headline and opening establish what has happened, followed by relevant detail and background.

A headline, lead and complete news draft for an agreed readership and channel.
02

Announcement editing

We refine an existing announcement for clarity, order and consistency. We tighten wording, improve transitions and flag details that need confirmation without changing the intended meaning.

Tracked changes, a clean edited version and concise questions for your review.
03

Versions for different readers

We adapt one approved company update into shorter versions for agreed channels, such as a website news item, customer email or internal update. The core facts remain consistent.

Clearly labelled versions with the length and audience defined in the brief.

Process

From confirmed news
to a reviewed announcement.

Four stages keep the main message clear and the details connected to your source material.

  1. 01

    Confirm the brief

Share what has changed, who needs to know, supporting details and the intended channel. We agree on scope, quote, revisions and dates.

  2. 02

    Draft or edit the news

We put the main development first, organise the supporting facts and explain the relevant background. Missing details are marked for confirmation.

  3. 03

    Review facts and wording

Your team checks names, dates, approved quotes and emphasis, then sends consolidated comments. We incorporate the included revision rounds.

  4. 04

    Prepare the final versions

We complete the language and consistency pass and supply labelled editable files. Your team gives final approval and handles publication or distribution.

Ask about Update Set

A revision round means one consolidated set of comments within the accepted brief. Additional announcements, new facts that substantially change the direction or extra channel versions require a scope update accepted before that work begins. Our own errors are corrected at no extra charge. Final delivery dates include the agreed review periods.

FAQ

Before we put
the news into words.

Your approved material and intended readership determine the announcement brief.

What should we send with the brief?

Provide the main development, confirmed dates, names, supporting details and the audience who will read the update. Include an existing draft if you have one, the intended channel, target length and publication date. Mark anything still awaiting approval.

How are facts and quotes handled?

We write from the material you provide and flag unclear or incomplete information. Quotes must be supplied or explicitly approved by the person being quoted. Your team checks the factual details and gives final approval before publication.

When will the first version be ready?

Typical initial timing is 3–5 business days for Announcement Edit, 5–7 for Company News and 7–10 for an Update Set after the complete material is received. The quote confirms availability, review windows and final delivery dates.

How is the final price calculated?

We consider text length, number of versions, complexity and the preparation needed. The listed prices are in Canadian dollars before applicable taxes. You receive the scope, fee and any applicable taxes before acceptance. Added work is quoted separately.

What do the revision rounds include?

They refine wording, emphasis, order and tone within the accepted announcement brief. Announcement Edit includes one round; the writing packages include two. Combine comments from reviewers into one set per round. A separate announcement or a substantially changed brief is additional work.

Do you publish or distribute announcements?

The packages provide editable text for your team to approve and share. Website uploading, email sending, media distribution and translation are outside the listed service. No publication, coverage or commercial outcome is guaranteed.
